Equipment You’ll Need

Cocktail Shaker

Typically alcoholic cocktails are shaken in a cocktail shaker filled with your favorite spirits. The cocktail can cool more rapidly before serving if ice is added to the shaker.

Cocktail Strainer

Use a cocktail strainer, a useful metal bar utensil, to separate the ice from a mixed drink as it is poured into the serving glass.

When liquids are poured into a glass or shaker, they are filtered via the strainer, a type of sieve.

These are used for large mixed drinks. You can’t use a shot glass or a martini glass.
